Governor Malloy announced his nomination of Associate Justice Richard A. Robinson to serve as chief justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court. If confirmed, Justice Robinson will fill the seat that was most recently held by Chief Justice Chase T. Rogers.

Justice Robinson has been associate justice of the Supreme Court since 2013. He was first appointed as judge to the superior court in 2000, and then to the appellate court in 2007. Prior to his service on the courts, Justice Robinson served the City of Stamford as staff counsel and then as associate corporation counsel for a combined 15 years.
